Bleach 111 (Flailing, spoilers, retarded screencap.)
OH OH OH. ISHIDA'S FATHER. AND ICHIGO'S FATHER. I didn't keep myself spoiler free enough to be truly surprised on the second point (and last week I was peering at the ending video going "is that...?") but still, all kinds of awesome to actually see.
I increasingly get the feeling that Kubo Tite really likes parallels and contrasts. It's interesting. Arrancar/Vaizards (from the little fragment I have just seen). Ishida and Ichigo, and their fathers.
This is almost making me want to read the manga more, because the new storyline in the anime is drawing me in very quickly.
And then there was my helpless, juvenile amusement at the comparing of sizes. And. Well. As has been previously demonstrated by Urahara, size is in fact not everything. I still blame Bamba (my A-level English Lit teacher, bless her) and her obsession with swords in Antony & Cleopatra. *coughs*

(I haven't even read all of the PoT manga, just selected bits. Heh. Rokkaku and Rikkai, and whatever bits people have told me I should read since then. Which includes every Rikkai appearance, because I am a sucker for them, but... yeah.)

Manga is a must, yes. Even just a few issues at a time. So, so wonderful.

I'm going to read at least a few chapters a week. It will actually take me forever to catch up, but never mind. I'm getting too curious not to. I think I've read the first volume, maybe the first couple of volumes...
I have no idea what the offical translation is like, actually. I keep toying with the idea of buying some of it, because it's so much easier on my eyes to read paper volumes and so much less time-consuming too. But I really have no idea if it's worth it or not. (And of course it's quite a long way behind, but I could get closer to caught up if I wasn't reading all of it on computer.)

Randomly, the only tokyopop translation I've read has been Saiyuki, which has its oddities, but actually hasn't been that hideous - it makes sense most of the time and, well, it's tended to agree with the scanlations I have most of the time as well, which is generally reassuring if not necessarily indicative of it actually being correct. I've heard pretty awful things about other stuff they've done though.
I might well pick up a volume or two and at least see how it is. Bleach really isn't something I mind throwing money at from time to time, after all.
