firstlightSO too tired to do a proper report right now.
1. Ichinen trio are first up. I have no idea what they're actually doing, though. There's going to be a lot of 'IDEK' in this because none of the three of us who went to see the thing have a sufficient grasp of Japanese to figure much out... XD
2."last time on tenimyu..." featuring Rikkai menacing people with tennis racquets. Hee hee hee. My excuse to stare at Niou for a bit, not that I need one. Basically, they did a bit of a quick recap of last time. With Rikkai being Evil.
3. S3. I... still don't know what I think of Ono Kento. He isn't... bad, as such. He isn't outstandingly good, either. He just sort of Is. I guess Renji is a hard character to grasp and really bring to life but... hum.
Oh, and the cheesy effects screen has returned, by the way. I die.
Masei cannot sing. Erk. Actually, they seemed to take pretty much all the worst singers of Seigaku and shove them together to do one of the songs for this match.
And there was Taka hip-thrusting.

S3 was not the highlight of this myu for me. Which is a shame, because it's one of the better matches in the manga.
But Kirihara stopping Sanada from hitting Renji, kdshfksldf. Yes. Of course.
4. S2. God. Shove Kirihara on stage and I'm happy. The little git is all sorts of awesome - though I was a little traumatised by the hip movements in his first bit of dancing... >_> This match was pretty broken up, actually, with loads of bits of flashback and side stuff - Tezuka and Fuji playing in the rain, etc. (and Tezuka's Fuji-sense tingling while he is training Far Far Away. Snerk.) - and the interval fell part way through it. I think. I'm... tired, dudes. And ill. Sorry.
Anyway, the part at the end when Kirihara is asking what happened and all the rest - that was really damn good. I approve.
5. S1. Kanesaki, yes. He danced. A lot. It made me happy in an amused sort of way. Again, the attack of the special effects screen (flame effects, hah). XD Also, FuRinKaZan song and dance got dangerously YMCA-ish at times and I had to stop myself from giggling. Bwahahaha.
Echizen used so very much Engrish and most of it was completely incomprehensible. I actually have no idea at all what he said.
Not actually too traumatised by this match. *g* I think the fact that Dori is actually a really good Echizen and knowledge of recent manga canon helped. *dork*
The Samurai theme was going strong. Echizen got his backdrop image of guy-with-sword, and during dancing bits Sanada kept swiping at Echizen with his racquet as though it was a sword. Ouch. XD
Sanada's evil laugh. *amused*
6. Higa. Duuuude, Higa.
Perfect.
Actually, though they weren't there for long they're sort of the thing about this myu which is making me flail most - not that other stuff wasn't good (I know the above hasn't in any way done it justice - tiredtiredtired), but Higa was the most... unexpectedly good thing, if you see what I mean. I more or less knew what to expect from the rest of the cast as they've all been around for at least one myu already.
But. Higa. Ok.
Aoi is practicing alone on stage and Chinen just sort of... ghosts past several times, while Aoi gets more and more freaked out. Could not stop laughing. Could not. And then Aoi stopped. And sniffed the air a bit.
"Goya?!"
*diesdiesdiesdies*
(Chinen is undead. His body is preserved in Goya juice. Obviously.)
They did Chinen's match against Aoi, with much menacing and with Kite wandering around being smug. Perfectly, perfectly smug. I love the guy. Unni says he manages to be even more arrogant than Atobe. *amused* Chinen is so, so perfectly creepy, in just the right way. And Kite... *licks* (Nice voice, too.)
Further to the undead theme, Higa got some kind of weird voodoo music which cracked me the hell up. So much win.
And at the curtain call... Higa do not bow. Higa merely... incline their heads slightly while looking as though this sort of thing is entirely beneath them. (I don't remember which of the ichinen trio had the misfortune of being stood next to Kite when everyone went to hold hands for the final bow, either, but omg... XD )
Random other stuff which I can't remember a specific place for:
- Yukimura/Racquet = OTP. Still. Again. I don't know. Whenever he first gets wheeled past on his hospital bed (which he spends most of his time on, of course) he's just sort of waving his racquet feebly and - not just me, for once - the entire hall went into a fit of giggles.
At one other stage he really looks like he's about to make out with it.Sanada replacement.
- Flashback to the hospital just after Yukimrua collapsed, with all of Rikkai in their winter uniforms hanging around being worried. ♥
- Bane (who was our Bonus Rokkaku Boy of the Day) standing around in the background with his hand on Aoi's head. XD XD XD
- Ichinen chatting and I'm guessing talking shit about Sanada, and then Sanada appearing on stage. "Sorry, sorry, sorry!" as they cower in the corner... >D
I shall go off to sleep for a very long time now. I hope. We're off to Kyoto tomorrow.
(Oh, and the photosets are reeeeeally nice. As are the special gifts for buying the whole set. I am actually buying full sets this time for both Rikkai and Rokkaku+Higa as a result... damn. Foiled again by merchandising. *laughs*)
