- Higa fic (yeah, I don't know; they get fucked in the manga, obv. they need more fic as compensation. Also, pirate AU.)
- Hunter x Hunter fic (Illumi backstory plz.)
- Epic Saiyuki AU fic (cyberpunk = win.)
- Original fic (any.)
- Other Rikkai fic (many.)

Discussed again today how Niou and Yukimura are basically pretentious university students. Oh, 40.5. You're made of special. *laughs*

I'm really curious about that book Niou has listed as his favourite. I get this odd feeling someone told me some stuff about it once, but I really can't remember now... I might've just made that up.

(And, seriously. Does anyone have thoughts on what books Niou and/or Yukimura might enjoy reading, beyond the ones listed? It's... Important. For my own sanity, if nothing else. If you have any ideas on what other members of Rikkai might read outside their listed books, that's cool too. Though Renji obviously reads everything, given how many books he gets through a year. *g*)

For some reason I feel Murakami is perfect for Niou (really I just want to hear Niou say Yuki has the sheep hahaha). :> I can't say about Yuki. He likes French poetry. LOL though maybe Cyrano de Bergerac (the play I guess. I watched the movie adaptation) because that was a delightful story and the main character is really witty. Or a book on art analysis :3

I don't really follow Sanada's type of books (historical novels I think) but there are millions and millions of version of Three Kingdoms and samurai books. I think though, he would really like taiga dramas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiga_drama)!! XD When I first got to Japan, Furin Kazan was playing. This is about Takeda Shingen's strategist and since Sanada really takes interest in Takeda Shingen and all that samurai-ness, he probably watched this. LOLOL (also Sanada won't tell anyone but in addition to the Ukiyo-e artbook, he also has a Shunga artbook :D so shhh)

I sort of assumed Murakami would be a good one for Niou and Yukimura because I just tend to assume most people should read Murakami, unless they can produce a doctor's note explaining that they have some kind of allergy. Other than that, Yukimura really does have a France fetish... readerofasaph suggested a whole bunch of French authors, most of which I haven't read but which I'm sure my local French Person can tell me more about... XD I wonder what else, though. Especially for Niou. I guess I will just never get a satisfactory answer to this question.

At least with Yagyuu we know he has a thing about murder mystery and I used to READ a lot of that. He even seems to read it in English, which makes my life infinitely easier. XDD

Yeah, Sanada probably does classic lit and historical fiction. Although he grumbles about inaccuracy in the historical fiction. Renji says he should just not read it if he's going to complain so much. (Snrk, shunga. Really Sanada. Tarundoru. XD)

Yeah I'm not too familiar with books so I can't connect with Yuki on that kind of level. He has a poetry fetish which I don't share. XD; But when I looked at him and his love for art, a long time before 40.5 came out, I just knew he would like Impressionism. It just...fits. XD Then I got the confirmation in 40.5~ When I go down that road, I inevitably end up with Atobe/Yukimura though. /tangent

Do you not see Sanada going to kabuki (I'm learning about it now and man, aragoto is really cool XD) with Renji?! I DO. They have such old people hobbies, especially Sanada.

I bet Yagyuu watches suspense dramas on TV.

Renji is easy. He likes literature and Natsume Soseki. XD Akaya and Bunta are easy too because they like manga~ I bet Akaya reads REBORN or other popular JUMP manga. XD

Gah no! Now I'm starting to wonder about the books as well... Though I haven't seen the actual lists so I have no idea what those are, I have the feeling Yukimura (maybe Niou as well) would read some kind of odd classics, or books no one else can really understand. I have no idea why, but I can imagine Yukimura reading some book that gives everyone else the creeps... Also, Niou could read Catch-22. I don't know why. *laughs*

Mmmm... well, Yukimura prolly borrows books off Sanada and Renji. I imagine he'd be willing to try loads and loads of different stuff.
