Link Dump: Classics and Other Madness

Not on my own computer + finding many interesting links while randomly browsing the internet = link dump!
1. The Mask of Agamemnon
Nothing like a good archaeological mud-throwing contest.
Introduction
Is the mask a hoax?
Insistent Questions
The case for Authenticity
Not a Forgery, how about a Pastiche?
Epilogue
-
Wikipedia.org article on the mask (includes image of the artifact); and some images of the other masks from the same period. Just so you can see the difference.
I always feel that the other masks rather resemble Gollum. I'm a bad, bad Liz.
-
2. Classical Play Texts Online
Because sometimes you need a quote in a hurry and your play texts are several hundred miles away. Look, I'm a geek, yes? I know.
Agamemnon by Aeschylus
Medea by Euripides
Iphigenia at Aulis by Euripides (not the translation I was after, but... I'm just being picky.)
Hippolytus by Euripides
Oedipus the King by Sophocles
Antigone by Sophocles
-
3. The Tantalus Cycle
Because modern retellings of ancient myths are love. Well, this one is, anyway.
Tantalus Production Scrapbook, with lots of neat info and some videos which I shall get around to watching sooner or later.
-
More may follow later. It's possible. It depends how much more I end up stumbling across at random.
ETA: Damn. I'm even listening to music inspired by Greek myths. Beyond help.
