This happens to everyone when they're near Asami, to a greater or lesser extent. His presence has a serious impact on people's ability to think straight. It's really the only explanation.

This will never stop being funny. Asami thinks he's a brilliant business man and leader but in truth, it's just that other people's brains turn to mush at his presence. I wonder how the people that work with him deal with this? Oh... the sunglasses. And here I thought that bodyguard was just trying to look cool and yakuza like. He probably tried tinfoil hats first and then those.. what are the things called that horses have to wear so they don't see all the crap that goes on around them and freak out? Soon he'll realize that sunglasses don't stop the phoremones. Michelin man suit! Asami will fire him for not being stylish enough.

I think it affects Fei worse than most people, though. I mean, it's gotta at least halve most people's intelligence, but Fei has unfortunately little defence against the Asami Effect. Some people are just like that. (I still think, you know, maybe if things had gone better originally he'd have built up some resistance. As it is? Doom.)

Mm. Fei has less resistance than Akihito, who seems to do pretty well, all things considered, maybe because he has less brains to begin with. (Fei really doesn't stand a chance, especially since he's made Asami angry, which only increases the Asami Effect. It has something to do with his eyebrows. It must hurt to always scrunch up your face like that. Whoever does Asami's facials hates him for it. Now I have the mental image of some fab gay thing doing his nails. SO WRONG.)

Hn. Now I'm torn. I'm a firm supporter of Fei/Yoh, but I can sense some Asami/Yoh somewhere in there too. Yoh and Asami are hardly ever in the same room, so it's difficult to tell, but Asami did convince Yoh to go on this insane mission for years and years... What do you think?

Somehow I get the impression he retains a lot more mental ability in the face of Asami than most people. This may be wrong 'cause as you say, we don't see them together much. XDDD

I'm actually putting the mission thing (or at least how long he's agreed to keep doing it) down to Fei more than brain-failure in the face of Asami.

*cackles* That sounds about right. Yoh seemed more nervous around Asami than anything. I guess that is an understandable reaction. I think Yoh used to suffer more from the Asami Effect but now he's fallen victim of the power of Fei's hair instead.

Mine didn't cope very well... when Asami started speaking I went "oooOOOOhhhh wooowwwwww... waitasecond, that sounds like Koyasu but when has his voide dropped another couple octaves or so??" (in fact it was him, if my memory doesn't fail me completely)

Fei Long's voice was very nice, too. I didn't much care for that stupid photographer whatshisnameagain, but then I can't stand him in any shape or form anyway. *grin*

I guess you'll have to judge for yourself, if you ever bother with the drama cds, but I didn't like them much. Koyasu Takehito is great but he's not right as Asami and Ishikawa Hideo may be a wonderful Ukitake but I was imagining something else for Fei Long. Sasanuma Akira is ok as Akihito, despite the typical uke whimpering, but that's not really his fault. The best part is the uhm... ending of the first chapter. The background sounds are so much cracky love. The buzzing, the chains, the film falling to the floor. Hilarious. Other than that the cds don't add much to the vf experience.

I usually don't care about them, but vf is a special case. I'm obsessed. But only a little bit. Yeah. I tend to dislike dramas with high ratings, surprisingly enough. If people sounded like that, no babies would be made and the human race would die out. So annoying.
